Keep going along
Poeta Querol street (where you came from) and turn on the fourth Street, you find on your right (
Barcas street). Continue until you reach Plaça de l’Ajuntament (
Town Hall).
The building is
modern and monumental. The decoration is abundant, with Valencian elements. In the center of the main facade there is a
Tower that houses the clock. Inside, the Crystal Hall and the Sessions Hall stand out, as does the large marble staircase. Outside, two elliptical domes covered with glazed tile stand out, and the large balcony that covers the central body of the main floor. You can visit the
Plenary Hall (except on plenary days), the
Crystal Hall, the
City Hall Balcony, the
Historical Museum and the
Air Raid Shelter (built in 1938 to protect students from the school group that was in the current Town hall).
Visits to the Valencia City Council are made from Monday to Friday, on weekdays, from 8:00 a.m. to 15:00 p.m. .
